Welcome to McSmith's Organic Farm. This season, as the McSmiths (Gary Smith and Cathy McGregor-Smith) head into their fourth decade of organic farming, they are excited to be shifting into what they are calling, “The Organic Farm Unplugged”. Still dedicated to sustainable organic farming, and growing local food for local people, Gary and Cathy are also committed to having a little more time to enjoy family, grand-parenting, and helping with the next generation’s farming ventures.
In 2017, their valued customers, old and new will find on the farm:
DAILY – a year-round supply of fresh brown eggs gathered from organic laying chickens, fed Gary’s custom feed blend.
SATURDAYS FROM 10AM-2PM –
Pastured Pork from Mark and Janis’s farm including whole, 1/2 pork and custom pork packs
Grass fed beef from the McSmith’s farm.
2017 Chicken days will be in early June and mid August... follow us on Facebook for availability on Saturdays in June and August
SEASONAL PRODUCE SUPRPISES.
Vegetable Transplants will be available in the spring 2017 (late April/May)
SEASONAL CUT FLOWER SURPRISES. You will find eco-conscious cut flowers from the Harris Flower Farm at the Covent and Horton Farmers’ markets. You might also find a selection of Janis’s delightful bouquets on your visit to the McSmith’s farm – feast for the tummy, and for the eyes, all in one place!
